High School

Tri-Rivers Career Center has been a significant educational and training contributor to the North Central Ohio area for more than 45 years. The district was formed in 1973 with the passage of a multipurpose levy to build, equip, and operate the Career Center. The doors opened in 1976.

Tri-Rivers serves nine school districts, as well as open enrolled and home-schooled students by providing education for high school and adult students as well as providing a community center for the Heart of Ohio area. This service has been recognized by the ongoing support of the students, parents, associate schools, and business and industry.

Tri-Rivers’ mission is to educate students in an engaging environment for tomorrow’s opportunities in the workforce and community.

Tri-Rivers Career Center specializes in helping students discover and develop their unique skills and interests into solid careers. Tri-Rivers programs have been designed to offer different pathways for success, while saving money and time after graduation.

Tri-Rivers’ programs combine hands-on training and college prep academics to prepare students to continue their education or go right to work after high school.

Today’s economy demands a better educated workforce, and jobs in this economy require more complex knowledge and skills than jobs of the past. Career and technical education (CTE) is an educational strategy for providing young people with the academic, technical, and employability skills and knowledge so they can enter a career field prepared for ongoing learning or higher education/apprenticeships depending on their career goals.

Adult Education

Tri-Rivers Career Center—Adult Education’s mission is to educate students in an engaging environment for tomorrow’s opportunities in the workforce and community.

The adult education staff strives to work as an effective team. They are an integral part of education that links business/industry and agencies within the community. They provide lifelong, continuous learning for a diverse adult population enabling students to overcome barriers and enhance the quality of life for themselves and their families. Practical skills are utilized with an eye toward technological advancement. Tri-Rivers is changing lives through education.

Employers

Tri-Rivers Career Center encourages partnerships with local business and industry by offering Workforce Development Job Readiness Training. Tri-Rivers Career Center works with local employers to develop new skills and training—helping their employees grow and be more productive. Customized training classes can be developed to meet a company’s specific needs.

RAMTEC

In 2012, through an innovative collaboration between Tri-Rivers Career Center, Marion Technical College and The Ohio State University at Marion, RAMTEC (Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing Technology Education Collaborative) was born.

RAMTEC is the nation’s only provider of Robotics & Advanced Manufacturing industry certifications for high school and adult students all under one roof. RAMTEC partners with FANUC robotics, Motoman/Yaskawa, Park Hydraulics, and Lincoln Welding, just to name a few, to offer training to individuals and companies. Tri-Rivers has received over $15 million dollars through Tech Prep and Straight A Grants to create approximately 24 RAMTEC facilities throughout the state of Ohio.
