– Marion County Commissioners

The Expo was created as a way for Marion manufacturers and supporting logistics and utility companies to share what is made in Marion Ohio and the impact Marion Ohio makes on the world. 2019, the inaugural year 19 companies and 5 community partners hosted approximately 1,300 Marion County 7th and 9th grade students during the event. Lt. Governor Jon Husted kicked off the event with a key note address.

2020 was challenging, however, the Expo was able to continue as an online activity for schools through company videos.

The 2021 Expo saw 13 companies and 4 community partners hosting approximately 1,000 Marion County 7th and 9th grade students. Lt. Governor Jon Husted once again attended the event.

This event is held every year in October, which has been designated as Manufacturing Month nationwide.

2023 this event was changed to Careers Made in Marion, added Healthcare, Banking, Safety, Social Services and utilities and invited 12 grade students from the Marion City/County Schools.

Approximately 500 students visited with 29 area employers to learn about lifelong career opportunities available to them in the Marion area.
